Region 8 Member Troy Stamper Passes

Today, we lost a true UAW Brother and longtime friend. Troy Stamper passed away today, Sunday, October 28, 2007, at 10:00 AM. He served the membership of UAW Local 2185 and UAW Local 2083 to the best of his ability. No one could ever ask for a better Shop Chairman than Troy Stamper. In the devastation of Katrina, he helped with cleanup efforts in Meridian, MS, as a UAW member of Local 2195 in Athens, AL. Even in retirement, his help was appreciated by many who had worked beside him in the plants and in the aftermath of the most devastating hurricane in Gulf Coast history. Our UAW Brother will be truly missed by many.
